Eco - Lab Device - Installation, Data Graphs visualization :
In a highly complex environment we live in, information systems and new technologies made a huge impact in our ecosystem.
The project “Eco-Lab Device” was a reflection during lockdown, where I found myself surrounded by plants in my House in the city of Tunis. I start to use sensors to track their behaviours. During covid I start to collaborate with my partner, who is a data scientist and working on the AI tracking environments. We thought about a project where we can combine different data comes from plants both Tunis and Montreal.
This experimental project was an approach that I had, that aims to unveil a part of this relationship between the environment and data systems. Using an interactive devices and medium, a part of the environmental data, specifically collected from plants, are showed in different forms. To tackle the anchoring problem of some plants knowledge, the project defines a dedicated and speculative design, i.e., graphs, to experiment the species interaction with its physical environment.
First result was a website, that we connect our house plants into interactive map graphs.
